PeakTop Cuisine launches fusion vegetarian menu by Girl + the Kitchen.

Toronto-- The award winning elegant PeakTop Fine Chinese Cuisine, located north of Toronto in Vaughan Mills, is introducing an exciting new vegetarian menu created by innovative fusion culinary artist, Girl + the Kitchen (GTK) a.k.a Jackie Liew.

"With the new additions, PeakTop will serve as a new vegetarian friendly venue for vegetarians and non-vegetarians guests, to enjoy dinners, traditional celebrations and weddings as well," says Proprietor, Edwin Cheng.

The opening at PeakTop Cuisine on Thursday September 20th, at 7pm will also be part of the celebration of the Moon Festival and Malaysia's 50th Birthday. Enjoy an evening of the best that Asia can offer with beautiful dinner and special performance by celebrated international flutist Ron Korb. In attendance will also be many celebrity guests. "Recipes encompass a wide variety of vegetarian ingredients from all over Asia. The dishes are a fusion of different cooking styles including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, South Indian and Malaysia. GTK presides over an ingredient driven (such as essential oils), menu that includes vegetarian shark fin soup, vegetarian sashimi in a set dinner special within the $25 to $35 range," says Liew.

Cooking demonstration and lunch package will also be available Monday to Thursday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the restaurant starting Sept 20th, where Girl + the Kitchen shares her knowledge of Asian vegetarian dishes designed for individuals, couples or groups seeking a unique dining experience and social gathering such as birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers, tours, company social/team building events. Guests will learn about Asian ingredients such as miso, soya products, vegetarian meat substitutes, natto, different sauces, enjoy lunch and take home a recipe card.


The Malaysian Chinese musician and culinary artist Jackie Liew a.k.a.Girl, was born in Kuala Lumpur and came to Canada at the age of 11. Trained by Buddhist chefs in North America and in Asia, coupled with a passion for the vegetarian lifestyle and well being, Jackie created Girl + the Kitchen (GTK). GTK is a vegetarian food promotion company offering cooking events and private/public cooking classes such as The Cooking Rendezvous which was featured on SunTV, 24 Newspaper, Asian Cuisine Suite 101, and Omni Television. Regular guests included renowned Hollywood actor, Cary Tagawa (Memoir of the Geisha). Cary, "Best food I have tasted, filled with positive energy." Due to the success of last year's Toronto Vegetarian Food Fair, GTK will be demonstrating at this year's event to nearly a thousand.
